    need help with springs

i am looking into lowering my 02 protege lx. but dont know what springs to go with. have heard about eibach's (pardon my spelling if its wrong) and alot of other cheaper ones. but still i am confused. i have 18"s on my car now, so i am only looking into dropping about 1.4" and 1.8" or so.

also i was reading into some threads and dont know if when upgrading springs do you have to upgrade in shocks and struts.

i am new to this and all the work will be done by someone else. not saying that money is something i can throw away. but spending the right amount for quality stuff is what i want.

please bear with me if i cant reply to your responses as fast as other posts. i am currently in iraq with the army and getting on a computer let alone the net is a hassle.

    hope to hear your reply's.

p.s. just in case you want to see what the car looks like, http://members.cardomain.com/joker1977 is a new page i started. not trying to lure you to my page just trying to give you a peek at the car. as soon as i figure out how to post a pic here i will.

    sincerely,

i would, why take your suspension all apart just to replace the springs, when you going to have to replaced the struts sooner than later. I believe there was someone on here selling the eibach pro kit on here the other day for 150$ from what i hear thats the best springs, as for struts, everyones says tokico blues are the way to go.
According to my Anger Management Counselor, after 26 weeks of anger management class, I should be an expert when it comes to Anger Management...tell that to the guy who threw a starburst at my car in rush hour traffic...haha

Yeah the Eibach Pro kit and Tokico struts are the way to go. What offset are your 18s, because you could have some rubbing issues?

Yeah, I would say get the eibachs or get the teins. I hear that teins are really good and won't sag at all....
If you want to get shocks (optional) then you can get the tokico's that come on the mazdaspeed.
