Well, I was bored a while back, so I installed my used set of braided stainless brake hoses. The pedal was soft and mushy before I did it, but as soon as I installed them, my pedal stiffened up quite a bit. (and my rubber hoses were replaced recently, so they weren't expanding.) So I give this product a 9 out of 10. The only thing I didn't like was the extra few inches of hose on each line. But they work great, even though I bought them used.

ya im running the CS clutch and brake lines as well... only on the front tho havnt had to do my rear brakes in a while and thats when i will throow the 2 rear lines on.. def 9/10
brake lines are a tad longer then stock and they didnt fit in the mounting spots on the struts properly or something cant remember exactly

Bad goldstar.
I installed my SS brake lines some time ago but never reported on them here which of course I should have done in the interest of science and for humanity.
I used the Techna-Fit brake lines because they have a PVC covering over the stainless steel braid which provides extra protection from abrasion and road debris. Since the set is specifically made for my model Protege, the length and fitment of the lines is similar to OEM. Included are the banjo-fitting mounting bolts and sealing washers. The SS lines are a definite improvement over OEM. Braking response was improved resulting in shorter stopping distances. The brakes felt more powerful exerting more stopping force under hard braking than before. Additionally, brake modulation was improved in that there seemed to be a more direct communication between pedal movement and amount of braking force applied.
This is an inexpensive way to upgrade the brakes without changing pads or rotors, assuming they're both still functioning properly, and I highly recommend this mod. So give yourself a brake, brake down and buy a set of your choosing as soon as possible.

You wanna be very very careful when buying ss lines. Up until recently none of them were DOT approved which could be a legal liability for you in an accident. That and the offbrands may scrw you. I had my rf line fail on my street car not too long ago. It broke just at the fitting where it screws into the hardline on the chassis. Could have been very bad that! I don't know the make.
