    gtx wheel bearings

I've been having trouble with the wheel bearings big suprise,I may have incorrect spacers installed.I realize each each knuckle is unique & the spacer should not be mixed(too late I think).I'm thinking of taking apart a old axle and use the old cv stub to torque down the bearings on each knuckle and get replacement spacers (wider/narrower)till I've got the right preload.Just not sure if using a old cv stub would work or I would have to use the cv stub that is going onto that particular knuckle? Are the cv stubs unique (hope not)or just the knuckles? Does this make sense? Thanks NickZ

cv studs are not unique. you can use any, just make sure the torque on the axle nut is set right also

Silly question, but are you packing the bearings properly with grease? I never really learned how to do it since most the new junk these days are sealed hub assembly style. The old school bearings need to be packed properly. I went through a couple sets of wheel bearings before I figured it out. Duh lol.
