    Abort Escort's Piston..

Someone can tell me . What's year the Escort's Piston can use to the BP Engine? I want to buy BP engine and enlarge the cylinder diameter to 2.0L. But I don't know which piston i can use.

    you can't.

the bore spacing is too wide to goto 2L without x-raying the block. ~1 in 4 will be able to be punched out to 2L.

if you START with a 1.8, it's not enough

then his rod ratio went to crap...because you'll need shorter rods and a stroker crank.

              or.....he's lying.

ok first of all if you bore the motor you can get a displacement of a 2.0cc. second what you said is totally wrong. you can retain the same rod ratio and just change the pin hieght. and last im not a liar.

wiseco makes off the shelf pistons for the bp motor. the go up to .80 over. wich makes the displacement about 1.95.

Mazda's max overbore is only going upto 83.50mm pistons. TODA racing won't even go bigger than a 85.00mm piston in their all out race BPs. You're saying you'll fit a 86.57 mm piston in there. I wouldn't trust the longevity of that motor....at all.

And pin height is only going to affect compression. Why are you changing pin height? And moreover, what does it have to do with changing rod ratio? Pin height doesn't change rod ratio.

toda has never made the power that i have so the fact that they dont even go that big on the bore is besides the point.

i never said that pin height changes rod ratio. if you where to change the pin height then you can stay with the same lenght of rod. and there for just change the crank.

TODA doesn't make as much power as you because they build NA race motors. They don't build big turbo drag motors. You really are ignorant.

oh, now we'll just change the crank...because that's cheap...

you both are full of crap.
change the pin hight effects the rod ratio.

i know that toda doesnt build turbo motors, you were the one that brought them up. do with the crank what you want but ill stay with the 1.8 crank and just increase the bore size. and being ignorant is saying that you cant make a 1.8 bp into a 2.0

                              rod ratio = rod length/stroke.

what part of pin height effects either?
