    '02 Daily Driver Work Log

I haven't done any performance or exterior modifications yet, but I will be soon.

So far all that I have done is put in a sound system and a false floor in the trunk.

So, to start off I will post that build to get every one and myself caught up on this site.

    The system consists of:
    - Stock Mids/Highs
    - Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD Head Unite
    - Singer 8 gauge Amp Kit
    - Alpine MRP-F240 Amp
    - Rockford Fosgate P212S4 Sub

    The Car:

    ''False'' Floor In Trunk:

I removed the panel Because I'm making a fibreglass box to fit in that corner.

I order to remove the panel I had to take the back seats out to get to a ''pin'' that was holding it in place.

Now that the amp is all hooked up time to connect the battery. Just ignore the corrosion. I will be changing the battery soon.

Mess I made / had to clean up from making the box

Installing 6.5s in the rear doors

I hate how they hide the screws!

Here is a demo video of the system before and after the new box.

Now, I just bought another 2002 Protege for parts. It has a few after market parts on it that I will be transferring to mine. I will also be making/modifying a front bumper for it.

I am hoping to start on the performance aspect of this soon.

Ok I just installed a air intake. It's not 100% complete. I still need to properly secure it and I'm going to install a hood scoop to give it a little more cool air.

Broke the bolts taking off the ram air.

              Stupid hidden bolts!

              Had to get new clamps

New, used, intake installed. The fact that it is facing down is only temporary. Once I have the scoop in it will be horizontal.

Today I mad and installed a heat shield for my air intake. It's a temporary fix until I can get a proper one.

This is the permanent location of the filter.

                Next comes the hood scoop.
