the clutch master cylinder bolt is inside for sure, and here are a few pics to help you locate it. the bolt is right behind the clutch pedal (the rod that goes through the firewall is conected to the slave cylinder, the nut is right beside that), youll know when you get in there again

        hope that helps

thanx alot....i was serchin for it a couple of weeks when i tryin to diagnose my clutch problem. But after i got my new slave cylinder, and the prob isnt solved i think its time to shell out 70$ for a new master.. . When i was under there i didnt see it, but it was cloudy outside. i have a feeling ill see it tomorrow.

BTW: did yours go out also? If so, was your clutch pedal pump but wouldnt hold any pressure?

          thanx again

you can see where it goes in this picture. It's from when i was doing the auto to manual swap in my escort GT.you see the brake pedal piston on the right, with 4 holes around it, then you see some cables in the middle, then you see where the clutch master cylinder gets mounted.

                        just a random thought......
might be low on fluid if the pedal feels spongy. Tried adding brake fluid and bleeding the clutch system????
That might sound sarcastic and what not but its not supposed to be.

whenever it acted up last time, i just bled it and it was fine, but it went out again i tried ot bleed it on the side of the road and nuthin was comin out...so it was obvious that there was no pressue bein given...But i got a master cylinder form the Pull a part and it works great now..thanx for the concern
