hey guys my friend has a 93 mx3 with the 1.6 b6ME SOHC engine. can you do a valve lash aka Adjustment on these engines? or how hard is it to take it apart and have it cleaned? is there a step by step on here? ive looked but i can only find one for the DOHC

If its anything like teh 1.8 sohc it's not that bad of a job if you're comfortable with an engine, basically the same amount of work as teh 1.8.
You have to remove the rocker arms, cuz they're in there, I used a steam cleaner and some degreaser to do mine. While i was at it I also cleaned out all the oil passages in teh rocker arms as well.
