    Biggest tires on a GTR?

Hey guys, does anyone know what the biggest wheels you can get to fit into stock GTR wheel arches are?

    Thanks.

Not sure if this will help or not, but i used to have some 17's on my 323 with 45 series tires and i couldnt imagine going anything bigger than that.

are you talking width/offset? or rim diameter? or tire width??

Depending on the ride height you should be able to fit a 225 width without issues, just depends on the rim offset...the lower the number, the further away from the hub the center of the tire will be.

I'd imagine a 30 offset would allow you to run 225s considering I had to run a 10mm spacer to fit 225/50R14 in the rear of a FWD 323. Fronts cleared without an issue.

With running a wider tire you might have issues with the stock spring perches as they are mighty bulky...a sleeve or full coilover kit will free up some spacer there too since they only run a 2.5"ID spring.

      hope this helped lol

I was talking about width mostly I guess. I was thinking a 15X7" rim with 225/50/15 tires would look good if you could fit them.

I don't see there being any issues, just have to play with the rim offset. Is the car slammed? Suspension upgrades?

I have no GTR... Yet . I'm just kinda figuring stuff out for future reference. So 225's should fit. I have 205/50/16's on my escort, and it is a TIGHT fit. There is literally a nickel's width between the tire and strut, and maybe 3/8" between the tire and fender(which is even cut back a bunch)..

Ya if the car is tucking tire you'll have issues with the 225 lol

Lot's of BS on here... 215 is pretty much the max without rubbing, and again, you need a wheel with less offset, 35 should do it.

I have 215's on mine with a 16x7.5 rim and coilovers and it looks just right imo

The GT-R is a little more generous in terms of wheel width than the Escort ... a 205 is not a problem but even the Escort can probably do a 225 with rolled fenders.

I've got 205/50/16's on 7" wide rims on my escort, and you can fit 2 quarters between the strut and tire, and 4 quarters between the fender(which is cut back) and tire. I think a 215 on 7" wide rim is the absolute max you could jam in an escort.

My GTR has 195/50/15's on 5.5" wide rims and there is LOADS of room on each side. The guy who owned it before me put a set of 215/65/15" fatty winter tires on 6.5" wide rims and they fit. They only rubbed slightly he said when the wheel was turned completely to the left or right.

I think I'm gonna do 215's on a 7" or 7.5" rim. I'll take some measurments and see if a 225 will fit.
