The cluster that I am using in my '95 is a v6 cluster from a '92 and I used the speedo cable from the Escort GT. Everything works fine. It is really tight at the back of the cluster with the cable driven speedo, but you have to cut out a couple plastic and metal brackets to make it fit. Like I said though, I never had a problem with it.

all V6 clusters are electric drive. only 92-93 RS have the cable drive speedometer. Either way, the V6 tachometer won't properly read I4 engine correctly because of the difference in the voltages in the tach. (think of when you buy an aftermarket tachometer, you get different 'pills' for 4 cyl, 6 cyl, 8 cyl, etc)
