    Strange issue has me stuck

I finally got around to finishing up my engine change on my GT. Go to fire it up, and the car cranks as soon as the key is in the run position. Regardless of clutch position. Car didn't start.
I checked all the fuses, they're good.
I pulled the "IG" relay, and here's where it gets weird, the car now cranks as normal.
    Still didn't start obviously.

Any ideas folks? I'm stuck, I have the FSM, but it doesn't have the wiring section for some reason.

There's a downloadable FSM stickied at the top of the BF general page. I would recheck your engine wiring harness and also your ignition switch. Sometimes they fail and do funny stuff

Thanks. I can't believe I missed that manual being posted. I've got mine in a huge binder covered in grease and oil. LOL.

Well, I'm still stuck. I guess I'll mull over the wiring diagrams a bit more.

I did get it to start for a second with some ether in the intake. So It's seemingly a fueling issue. I do have fuel at the rail, so I'm thinking my injectors are either stuck, or they're not being told to fire.

I still have the IG relay removed, as it is for some reason still cranking in run with it in.

Looked at the diagrams some more, and figured the coil for the IG relay was shorted (left my meter at work), causing too much current to be drawn through to the starter circuit. So, with the relay out, I jumpered the common and normally open pins on the connector, and it reluctantly started.

It's not running well yet, but I've made progress. Calling it a night.

Stuck again. She starts right away now. Strong spark on all 4. It will only run on cylinders 1 & 4. 150# compression across the board. Ether doesn't smooth out the idle either.

            Next steps?

Well, I'm 1/4 Italian, so I went back to some distant roots and revved the another out of it. She blew a bunch of smoke out of the back then smoothed right out. Woooo who!
