High beam not coming on when switched from low beam to high beam.

The high beam for the headlamps on my car stopped working recently and i do not know what is cause of it. Whenever i turn on the head lights the low beam works & when i pull or push the light lever for the high beam the lights turn off and when i put it back into the low beam position the lights come back on. When the headlights switch is in the off position and i pull the light lever up for the high beam the lights comes on. What is the cause of this and how can i fix it?

Combo switch is failing. Replace it.

Mine is doing the same thing... and the wipers randomly decide to stay on.. so both sides of mine is failing.

check the bulbs, they are a separate filament inside one bulb, that filament might have broke.

He said if he pulls the switch, like when you'd flash your brights at someone, they work. It might not be the switch... but that's why I narrowed it down so quickly.

Damn spiritual bot. My pops car does the same thing. Its a 91 egt they changed the column a little in 92 or 3 and I can't find him another one. Plus you gotta get a switch with all the same options. Lazy fix: wire up some foglights
