Shift Boot/Knob Options...

Yo.

It is absolutely necessary that I rid myself of the stock, accordion shiftboot and replace it with something less... well, accordion-like. Any direct bolt in options from other Mazda models? As for shiftknobs, what all do you guys use and what thread depth/size would I look for?

If anybody had pics/info, I'd appreciate.

Mx3 leather shift boot. Any Mazda shift knob will work, Honda ones too

I've got a Momo shift knob in my GTX I've thought about getting the Momo boot to go with but I'm not sure I can bring myself to pay that much. I'm going to look into the Mx3 one now, next time I go to the wrecking yard.

Personally I've spent the $$ on Momo **** back when I thought it mattered...but really it's not worth it lol. Wrecking yards are your friends for little things like that.

what year mazda do you have that has that style shift boot? I'd love to have that accordion style shift boot lol Do you know where I could get one off the web?

not really. mazda shifter is a 10mm X 1.25. and honda's are 10mm X 1.50. so they will not fit.

most nissans share our shifter thread though. as do a few toyota's.
