bored at home and decided to work on the hatch.

I was in the process of doing a 3sgte swap on my wifes geo prizm and needed some parts off the donor car. my buddy was suppose to bring it 2 weeks ago so i decided to start working on my 323. My hatch has been grazing in the back yard since i purchased it years ago. i don't have a title so its gonna be my full race car. i was trying to decide between a widebody kit or fiberglass doors and the fiberglass doors won. I stripped the interior (not in good shape) and removed the door I had no idea these doors were that heavy OMG. I'll post picks as soon as possible. i guess i will do the hatch next.

Sub'n for the build. Can you buy the fiberglass doors or will you be building them yourself?

this is a pic of the outside of the door. i decided to use glass over foam bracing instead of wood like i usually do. i did this to keep it light because i usually move my molds around alot. one thing i was debating on was making a full door on the inside or just outer perimeter. If someone maybe interested in a full inside door speak now or forever hold your peace. I'm gonna put the door panel back on so it looks stock and gonna use hinges similar to a jeep so i can just remove the door if need be. the factory door latches and handles will remain (I think).

So is that one solid piece? Or are they two pieces that will be bonded together? If I can do this with my doors and still keep the window and speaker mounting stuff, I might look into it a bit more. Maybe I'll use carbon fiber for the added strength since my car will be a daily driver

The curing process ads strength to carbon fiber but i would not want to drive around on carbon or fiberglass doors without a cage.

yes! I'll have these molds on hand for i never throw molds away. My plan was to make the inside of the door just so that i can put the door panel back on. no window roller or speaker should i make the mold so that it can carry all those things.
