Wanted: 323/protege/zx2/MX-3 BG/BHA/EC/BJ/CLEAN BF

Well my protege is getting tired and the rear end is kinda rusty for my taste... plus the interior needs some work... and its just getting old. I am looking for something lower miles or very clean and well maintained. I'm in the Buffalo NY area but I don't mind traveling to get something nice. Let me know what you have that you want to get rid of!

I'm looking for reliable and clean if at all possible.

Also would be interested in a partial trade if someone wants the 90 4wd pro with a BP and BG GTX trans swap. It is rough around the edges but I still drive it every day.

If you have something not in the Mazda/Fazda family you are looking to get rid of offer it up, I just need a change.

go get that green escort , he wants 500 its worth maybe 250-300, but its got some **** you can sell off it, we went and seen it yesterday. its deffinatly cleaner than yours, it wouldnt be a bad dd or winter car, just not something i wanted to swap... and if its not gonna snow im not buying a winter car...lol.... id rather dump 500 into paint and shoot it at one of my old shops....

its rusty underneath according to Josh... plus the back brakes are locked up. I'd imagine it need a good once over on the front and rear mains and probably a lot of other seals and lines and stuff... letting cars sit is the worst...

are you able to get some underbody pictures of the rust? I'd like to see if there's any rot...that's my #1 concern. Also would you be interested in a trade for my southern chassis but have my engine/clutch/rear brakes and some exterior items swapped over to the 4wd?

there's rot lol, the rear rocker skins are through, the corner near the gas door, and some in the unibody rails. I bought it as a parts car and decided I could get a couple winters out of it... and I was right lol.

how bad are the rails? I would love a 4wd and will be moving to cali so I dont care about rust I can fix that. do you think it would fall apart on a trailer to California? is it driveable as it sits now?

I drive it every day, it would make the trip I am sure, I'd just check the ball joints and the tie rod ends, give it a quick oil change (I plan on doing that this weekend) and probably slap a stock U code VAF on it. I don't seem to have the RX7 one tuned properly I don't think. Everything is fixable, I just haven't had time to do it and I'm in the middle of another project right now.

How much would you sell the 4wd for?

When I have something else drive-able I wouldn't ask for much. I'd probably sell it for less than 1k now or if I fixed all the things I think it needs mechanically I'd ask for 1k. I know it needs rear struts and something in the front end has been feeling funky off and on. I am going to check that out tomorrow when I do an oil change.
