do it at a body shop its worth it considering that if yopu **** it up you cause leaking in rain and possibily loose some structural support

Yes, I believe the glass moonroof from an Escort GT just bolts in.

P.S., I wouldn't get an aftermarket sunroof. But if you do, try and find out how long the installer has been in business.

Yes it does! I finally got a glass roof. I ended up paying $75 for it at a junkyard. It was already out and I just had to bolt it into my Pro. I got it installed in about 5 minutes (before I even left the parking area). I had been looking for one for about 3 months. Every junkyard I went to didn't have power sliding glass roofs. Plenty of push-ups and metal roofs.

It's raining here pretty well right now and it hasn't leaked... yet. The rusted part of my old metal roof started to crumble more as I put it in the trunk.

It's a direct swap. Same 3 bolts on both sides. Have you ever removed your sunroof? Give it a try and you'll see how easy it is.
