    Alloy Wheel Repair

For the enthusiast by the enthusiast.

After building a stock pile of 25 or so bent BBS wheels in my quest for a couple of "Good Enough" sets for my street and track tires, I found myself searching for an affordable wheel straightening service...

    It doesn't exist.

Sooooo... After liquidating my beloved AWD BG escort project and a bunch of my other prized possessions, I was able to get myself one of these a while back:

So just wanted to let the community know that there is now an inexpensive wheel straightening service (at least till my local business grows a bit). I know the deal here. Nobody is playing with these cars because they are tired of their E90 M3. And if they are... good for them!

I'm currently offering straightening and TIG welding. I'm still working on the full cosmetic refinishing service but I need to set up a proper painting/baking area first.

Most wheel straightening services charge anywhere from $100 to $185 for a basic bend. I'm starting at $50 plus shipping (depending on the wheel) for members of this site. I can't promise I'll be able to do them this cheap for long though.

If you need a wheel repaired just send me a few pictures and information to Georonimo@gmail dot com. or text me at eight four five, 242-5173 if it's easier. I'll get back to you with a price quote and we'll go from there.

    Thanks,
    Jorge

'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Wow, this is nice to know. I've passed up several wheels since they were bent. Do you charge by wheel or time? What's the rate?

It's the valley of the Hudson River starting north of New York City's northernmost borough (The Bronx) and extending upstate above Albany. It's over 300 miles long in total.

Hey guys, just shoot me some pictures and I can tell you yay or nay and give you a price estimate.

Price is a base $50 and up from there depending on the damage (most wheels will be $50 assuming no cracks).

No ATV capabilities yet although I'm definitely looking into making an adapter. I already have a jig for wide five race wheels ala NASCAR and related race series (dirt modified, etc). Will also offer motorcycle wheel straightening in the future.

Matt, send me some pics of those fancy JDM gems.

Next time I'm where they are, I will for sure. Not so worried about the slight bends in the lips (they're going on a drift car), mostly curious if you can fix the egged-out lug holes on one of them.

I've got a decent set of American Racing wheels that I got for free because one of them was curbed pretty hard. The bead area was pushed inward. Still holds air, I was just going to use them for autoX wheels. I'll snap some pics tonight!

                              Cool!
In my real life I am a long term British car guy.
There is a small but crying market for straightening MG T series wheels. They are a unique 5 bolt pattern steel wheel nothing else fits - and they are ALL bent after 60 years! Is something like 5 on 6.25".
If you want to go there, let me know and we can spread the word.
Shouldn't be hard to find some samples.
Lot of cars in New England and area.

I might be able to make adaptors for you too. Have lathe and rotary table on a mill.
