    Tach install Help Please

I'm installing an Auto meter tach on the dash of my car and I need to know where the coil or the tach terminal on the electronic ignition is. I don't have a Haynes manual to look at so any help would be appreciated. If you have a picture, that would be even better. Thanks.

What would be even better is if someone could tell me which one of the wires is for the tach going into the cluster.

The tach has 4 wires: +12 Volts, Gnd, Lights and the tach drive wire. The tach drive wire is connected to the violet/white wire coming out of the diagnostic port which is located on the left side of the engine bay near the ground plate for the batt. negative cable

Yes, I just figured that out. Thanks for replying though. My tach had 5 wires though. It had a seperate ground for the light. Everything is hooked up and works fine. I'll post pictures later.
