    Infini/gtr bare metal resto

    Hey everyone

Just thought id let you no that i was lucky enought to come across a genuine gtr familia that i could wreck and take alot of the rear parts off, so i thought why not just completly strip my infini back to a bare metal frame and rebuild it

I started by striping all the paint that the previous owner (who mistakingly though he was a car painter) had done, then going through fixing any inperfections. I sprayed the car in a etch sealer to seal of the metal (i will show photos of the steps)

I have installed all the flares and the gtr vents on my car and i was lucky enough to be able to repair the factory gtr grill so now when you look at the car front on its a gtr!!!!

This is as far as i have got on the outside of the car as winter set in over here so its too cold

I have since removed the gtx engine that i had in the car prior to this ive also have striped all the loom out and cleaned n polished all the engine bay and cross members. i have taken alot of the removable parts (like the brackets for the mount on the gearbox) and am getting them all powder coated black. Im going to de loom the engine bay whitch i hope that some of you maybe able to help me with diagrams and advice!!!!

all my gfb's (go fast bits) that i had on my previous motor have been removed, the exhaust mani and down pipe for the TD06 have been all wire brushed up and painted with potbelly paint (heat proff coating!! black). The td06 turbo has been striped, cleaned and re assembled...

Being that ive got the gtr motor out of the wreck im just gonna run the factory ecu for abit until i retune as gtr has bigger injectors and more aggresive cams(so im told) and this can map up to 17psi anyway.

this is were im at this stage so ill keep you posted with were im at and what ive done please feel free to give me advice on any handy hints you may have
