    black electric tape quality

Chasing down some audio problems with my sweet, sweet 92 bg,I noticed whoever wrapped up the soldered connections near the radio used a really good quality tape that was still "sticky" and supple. un like the tape that was used on the speakers, which was stiff and brittle,Anyone know what to look for when it comes to "good" electrical tape?I'm pretty sure I've got a number of the crappy rolls.
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I don't buy my tape from the "dollar store" and I still think it's crap.

there's different grades if you buy it from a place that sells electrical supplies. I get the high temp, heavy duty stuff from Home Depot.

I've never seen stiff electrical tape. Usually the bad stuff turns to nasty sticky goo.

Electrical tape itself is pretty terrible. There's a silicone-based "tape" that has no adhesive on it, but binds to itself that is way better to use. It doesn't make a mess and holds much better.
