A little bit on the progress of the 323 ....

Well the 323 is coming along nicely...
as you know I droped the mx-3 seats in the car.. (need to take a pic of them after I cleaned em up) ...

Well here are some photo's of what I recently got in the mail...

The pistons are the 9.5:1 miata's ... I just have to order the piston rings for them either this week or next week.

The high flow fuel pump and the BOV is for the protege.

I just have to get a head gasket for the 323 BP and the piston rings.

Also I got the rx-7 vaf also....

I also purchased a Tig welder. so that will be another of my main hobby's... It is a beginner set up, but oh well.. live and learn right.

    thanks for looking guys.
    Bruce

Sweetness! Dude, I've been thinking about picking up a tig welder as well. I always wanted to learn to weld.
Those pistons look sweet. Hope the vaf works out for ya.

            I paid 46 bucks a piston...
basically, I bought 2 one week and 2 the next week. I just have to buy the rings now.. then I will hone out the block and install these on the BP rods.

            ------------

            Identity_X ..
I was planing to give the 323 a set of pacesetter headers. But I don't know if I will have the money as I spent 300 bucks on the welder... So that threw a screw driver in the **** pan....

the headers are selling for 100 + shipping... at least what the person wants for them.

sorry I forgot to mention ...

I order all my parts through www.mazdaformance.com ...

            I mainly deal with shawn..
you can see the part numbers in the pics.

remeber fuel pump and bov are for the protege.... just waiting for the turbo and the wastegate... to get here.

redfox, you have to call them and give them the part number for the pistons, or tell them which pistons you want.

na, I never planed to turbo the 323....

one turbo car is frigin expensive enough. It is way cheaper to build something NA, it just won't be as fast.

plus I drive the 323 everyday and I don't want it burning bucku gas. I don't even speed much in the car. But I just want to drive something that makes me feal comfy.. the 1.6 is just to slaggy..
