well if you are talking drag racing, and both cars are making 180whp. the b18c would most likely run a quicker time and the bpt would run a higher mph cause it is turbo.

Driver skill would also play a factor.

yea man, that totally depends on what kind of course they are racing, what kind of cars, and drivers. In a 1/4 in an Integra Type R (i think thats what the b18c is in) and a mazda 323 GTX or GTR, Id have to say the mazda, lighter, awd for the holeshot. But again it totally depends on the factors of the race.

acctually id pick the teg: more power to ground(two drive wheels instead of four) and no turbo lag

B18C could be any of the DOHC VTEC motors. B18C1 is the regular GSR motor. B18C5 is the ITR motor.

Wheelspin buddy. Fwd is better down the track but at the start, AWD OWNS!

At my altitude I would definately pick the BPT. Playing catchup at 7200 ft in a n/a 4cyl sucks big time. I doubt there is much turbo lag on the vj20 or 23 turbo's they arent that big. Now if it was a T-88, that'd be a different story. My buddy has an rx7 with a t88 conversion, it dosent fully spool until like 5600rpm's.

If it was turbo vs nA and the car was a 323 or protege with front wheel drive.
I would pick the protege ... At the rating of 180 hp it will also have more torque than the B18 motor. I think the ability of the BP to pull off the line and hold any edge gained would help it win.
NA vs NA , would be a different story.

One thing you gotta look at too is, what kinda BPT are we talkin about? There's the GTX - 185hp, GTR - 210hp or a BP-T with any setup you want. True, a turbo car may have lag, but at nicely sized T3-T4 will give more than enough top end pull down the track. Then you have to look at the GTX, small turbo = fast spoolup....and the GTR which feels like a N/A BP until you hit about 3500-4000rpm, then it's like a lead weight is dropped from the car and it takes off in whatever direction the tires can grab.

                              127ft/lbs..
                              that's pretty good.

I don't know guys. I don't think a turbo BP and a N/A B18 (vtec motor) is a fair match. I think if we put a B18 up against a BP (N/A) with the same compression ratio and similar redline.. Even if we could tune the motor to get near the same hp as the B18 .. that would be a much better match.

I guess I am just figureing to keep things fair. You know there are those people that will say ,"ohh well he has a turbo so that's why he beat the teggy".
