    Windshield wiper issue

Since I bought the car the drivers side wiper has never went all the way over, meant to adjust it but have never had time and it rarely gets driven in the rain. I took it out to play in the snow today and as soon as I turned them on they made a knocking noise when they had gotten all the way over, it stopped after a minute and I figured it was just a part of it being old. Well a few hours later I had a few people be stupid infront of me and I ended up spinning around in the road, as soon as I started it back up they started knocking again for about a minute and then just quit working all together, rear wiper still works so I doubt its the fuse unless they run off a seperate fuse

Any ideas on what to look for when the weather clears up a bit? Maybe the wiper motor for them being out of adjustment for too long?

The balljoint linkage may have let go. The rear wiper is on its own circuit so it could still be an electrical issue but if the wipers were making knocking noises it kinda points to a mechanical problem.

Is that the rod that goes from the motor and up into the plastics? I did get a look at it to see what was making the noise when it first started doing it to see if it was just catching somewhere

No big deal, previous owner left an adjustable wrench in there at some point and it got caught up under the arm on the motor keeping it from moving. It did mess up the rubber around where the arm connects to the motor

It would be even better if it was snap on, still looks if decent quality. I think its husky. I'm hoping its been the sqeaky rattle that I've been trying to find

I am mad that I didn't get to play in the snow enough, not that its doing much with 10" on the roads
