    Mazdaspeed swaybar set ordered

I just ordered the Mazdaspeed front/rear swaybar set from Mazdastuff.com.

    http://www.mazdastuff.com/prod...D=986

I can't wait for it to get installed. I previously had the AWR 21.5mm rear swaybar, but the "adjustablility" of it goes out the window once the screws in the adjusting block rust. Plus, it had mad crazy oversteer in *some* situations too. I've had my share of spinning out at the autocross events.

This front + rear combo along with my Tokico struts and Eibach springs should make for one nice handling combo.

What's next? Probably the Cusco front subframe tiebar.

Sweet. I think I'm gonna order the Suspension Techniques Swaybar set for my car. Not really the same between our cars but I figured I'd just post that.

What kind of modifications do we have to do to get it to fit our year? Looks good. I was suprised at how "reasonable" the price is for something of the Mazda brand name. I'll be interested to see how you like them. I am still planning out my suspension setup.

It should be a perfect fit. It includes a replacement rear subframe, therefore that should resolve the problem with mounting the swaybar to the subframe.

The only thing I am worried about is if it includes new endlinks. If it doesn't, I'll have to order the longer ones for the rear.

how much was it to ship that sucker.

and exactly how much of the rear subframe do you have to replace.

The entire rear subframe. It's not that big of a piece really. Just four bolts or so plus the lateral links just from looking under there.

              $28 shipping.

We just installed a rear bar for Roy's P5 the other day. It's a snap; we took the sub frame out with most of the suspension attached, then swapped everything out on the garage floor. This made it much easier than laying on your back trying to figure out what goes where.

The front one, on the other hand...

Go for the AWR end links.

My stock end links bend a little bit as it is with the hard cornering. That is bad.

In fact, last time I rotated my tires I saw that the rears are slightly off. No longer straight.

                      ^^^ N/P...

I'll put a pic of my stock links compared to the AWR pieces sometime after I get the install done on Wednesday.

Awesome, got my package in today. Waiting on the AWR endlinks. Im probably going to install the front and rear bar on Saturday. If the AWR links aren't in by then, I'll use the stockers for now.

Oh yeah, the kit does include two new endlinks. It doesn't say if they are for the front or rear, but they are shorter then the front OEM endlinks I ordered when I first got my struts, so I'm assuming they are for the rear swaybar.

Careful there with your stock endlinks. I snapped one of mine clean off at the ball socket with AWR's 19mm bar on the "stiff" setting the first time I went out of a driveway. The MSP bar is even larger and about the same size/arm length as the AWR peice. Unless you don't care about 'em anyway, then go ahead and put em on. Maybe the MSP parts are beefier than the "regular guy" end links, I don't know. But getting the AWR parts is a smart move. Be prepared for the AWR peices to be a bit noisy though. They squeak alot, even if you WD-40 'em, being all metal construction.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not worried too much, because I checked and my old stock endlinks look the same as the new ones included in the kit. I'll probably just use my old stockers for a week or so then switch to the AWR links.
