    Delrin control arm bushings?

Got a new project XR2 on the road - LCA bushings are shot. I've got Pedders urethane on my GTXR2 which I love, but too spendy for me at the moment. I'm thinking of ordering a chunk of Delrin & machining new bushings from it. Any thoughts on this? Would delrin be too hard for a street car? Don't want to go back to stock, either.

IF!!! the sleeve can rotate in the delrin- then you will be fine.

The idea should be to produce a bushing with tolerences tight enough to fit the OD of the cage, but loose enough for the inner sleeve to rotate/pivot freely.
Doing so will eliminate the bind found in common rubber & poly pieces.
Delrin is hard enough that even with a free pivoting sleeve the wear should allow for several years before youd look to remake the bushing.

PS: my SS bushings aren't as abusive as 95% of people think.

Thanks for the tips Ryan I would probably have made them a little tighter. Noted!
