    V3.57 pcb

Does anyone know if enlarging a hole on the printed circuit board will damage it? I am trying to solder a resistor in the board for a 5v pull up circuit. The resistor lead is too big for the hole and I don't want to mess it up if making the hole larger will render it inoperable.

The r57 connection on the 3.57 pcb is made for a surface mount component, however Matt from diy said it was ok to manipulate the leads of the resistor to solder on the surface mount location. I was afraid to fry my pcb, so I was gonna ask around before committing to anything. I'm so close now I don't want to screw up! Haha!
