    DeeAOne's '88 hatchback!

    That's right. Number 2.

88 hatch. 4 speed manual. 130k all stock. I'll update more later. Pretty excited to get to work on it.

LOL.. maybe.. I want to just drop it and put some wheels on it and have it be the daily driver. We all know how that goes though. The lady wants me to BPT it so that's a possibility.

Shop full of 323s! I've got to figure out what's causing the random no start on the hatch. I replaced the crap Champion plugs with some new NGKs, and put fresh gas in to start. Still random start and when it does it's missing. The smoothest it's ran was on starting fluid. I can hear and feel the fuel pump working, so I'm leaning towards injectors. Cylinders 2 and 4 are showing signs of fire while 1 and 3 do not.

Throw some thoughts at me people!

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Ryan I originally did a compression test before I bought the car. Took the tester and did it right there in the parking lot. 180 across the board.

Either way I figured it out! The ecu was no good apparently. I started getting suspicious that it was wiring/ecu related when I got the car to start up and run with the maf unhooked, but would die instantly when the maf was plugged back in. Swapped in my spare from the sedan and it started right up. Ran a little rough until all the raw fuel started burning. Smoothed out and is purring. First road test was a success. Heat works, A/C works, and the clutch is solid. Total price of parts = $10.92 (plugs)

If you need any bits for that car I am getting rid of an 88 hatch. It is a shame as this car is complete, no rust and no body damage. I will just never get around to doing anything with it. It was my son's first car that we b6t swapped. I have h&r's, nib struts, harnesses, Tracer interior and the lot. It will not be around much longer though.

What's the drop on the h&r's? Part of me really wants to put it in the weeds for the hell of it. Lol
