    Euro-spec 626 or rename protege?

I was surfing google and came across this spiffy car... looks like a bigger, more EVO-like protege. I can't really quite tell if it's a different platform...

that's wicked... I wish they sold that car in Canada Just looks like a bigger, V6 protege!

Oh yeah I found the back end too... looks a little ugmo, but swap the lights and it'd be sexy

I did some more research.. that baby has a 2.5L bi-turbo, 280 HP and a AWD system linked to a 5-speed... now tell me that's not wicked :D

it honestly looks like a protege w/ different lamps to me though.

it says 626 on the back, maybe the 6 prototype? Dunno, but it looks nice and if the mechanicals are what you say I'd take it over an Evo any day.
I found out how to beat a Honda! Just about anyway you can think of. Even in reverse. <- my buddy Mike: Haha, your Civic is a pile of vtech crap! Zoom-Zoom!

That's the Euro 626. Japan called it the Capella if I'm not mistaken. The US 626 we got was different.

The BJ-series Protege's platform is related to the Capella.

That car was first seen at the Geneva car show 2 years ago ,its was only a prototype ,but would it be great if Mazda would build that for the consumer ,namely us

Mazda 626 MSP. Euro- or Japan-spec 626 tuned by Mazda, not Mazdaspeed. MPS, Mazda Performance Series, is Mazda's way to see if the product is worth the time and money. It was just a concept, and I believe it was shown in Geneva in the year 2000. Mazda MSP 6 was shown in 2002, also a concept that turned many heads, but did not generate much interest.
