They broke into the DX and took the Pioneer indash CD.. Driver's window is broken, and several dash parts are trashed as well. I hate to see what the harness look like..... The kid is about to have an aneurism. Of course, the local cops are no help. If they can't make money, they're not interested.

i feel your pain, a few weeks ago i had my car trashed. get a case # and do what you can, some cops actually will do their job. hey pm what dash pieces are trashed i'll see if i have a spare that i can mail to you.

Thanks for the offer, we really appreciate it. Fortunately there's a junkyard nearby that has dirt-cheap prices on their parts. $10 for a window, and the dash parts are equally inexpensive. The wiring harness was not damaged at all, the stereo had those plug-in adapters and the thieves were smart enough to just unclip them. The stupid kid wants to put another stereo in the car. He lives in an apartment complex, so it will just get ripped off again. I guess I'll tell him to get a spare window when he goes to the J/Y....

Get an alarm with a remote pager. that way the remote beeps when the car is violated.
Don't just leave your baby out there like that.

my protege has one, and my 323 will have one soon also.
They are real easy to wire up.

The last thing that kid needs is to get into an altercation with someone, even if they are breaking into the DX. He's had run-ins with the po-po before, and you know how their mentality is with "reformed criminals".

yeah that really stings. i had a thermo book go missing, when my car got pillaged.

After my car got broken into i got an Astra 777. very good alarm i am pleased, it was well worth the money.
