    Parts from 91-96 Escort Sport???

I found aa escort at a local junkyard, it dosent list the year just 91-96 on it. Anways, it has some suspension parts that I want (tokico struts, and some springs) It says its a sport, nothing about a GT, and theres no engine in it, so I cant tell if its the same as our pro's or not. Do the sport version susension components fit?? THanks!

91-92 have the 3 piece spoiler, 93+ have a one piece spoiler. Also the gt grilles have about 4 lines down the grille while the others have just the ford symbol. The gt's also have rear discs.

i heard that most of the egt's stuff works like suspension, brake discs, engine. as far as really knowing about the "sport", i don't think i've heard of one. search the forums about escort compatability, or interchangeability. trust me, you'll find lots.

Suspension pieces will interchange between the 91-96 Escort and your Protege/323. Keep in mind that the Tokico struts are most likely the factory ones as the oem LX struts are made by Tokico...

The only "sport" models i know of are 3rd gen Escorts or ZX2's (97+)

remeber that most times junkyards label parts and cars wrong.

There was, indeed, a "Sport" model. However, it's nothing more than a run of the mill LX (1.9L) with alloy wheels and a small spoiler. Additionally, only a few came labelled as such from the factory. This can be confirmed by the presence of drum brakes in the rear. All 2nd gen LX models had drum brakes while the GT's had disk.

As far as the struts go, I thought OE were McPherson ????
