    is a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump a overkill

    my ? is
    a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump for a Rx-7 86-88 a overkill of fuel
    for a gtx motor with a gtx ecu , using no fuel pressure regulator

    i have a gtx motor and ecu with harnesses for my 91 escort gt
    im a newbie to this board but have read alot about the GTX swap on other boards
    my motor and tranz are out along with the harness just wating to get my poly. motor mounts and poly suspention kit. and my air meter and fuel pump im not just a reatard asking ?'z for the h*ll of it.

      nah dude.. bruce said you can even run that pump on the n/a motor fine.

        Well, you're not running an n/a motor so there's no question that the Walbro pump will be a good addition to all the other things you're doing.......

          Yes, that is the reccomended fuel pump for turbo applications. That is the pump I will be using for my swap.

            The 255 is perfect, but if you're swapping into a Protege/Escort, why use a RX-7 pump when you can order one specific for your car from Walbro. When I installed my GTR motor into my protege, the car didn't even wanna start until I installed the Walbro. Guess my stock pump was too weak for it.

              Yeah, you shouldn't have any problems with it. I have it in the Protege right now. When I start the car up, I can't even hear it. That buzzard is quiet as hell.

              You can run either the 190 or the 255.
