    3000rpms in 5th=what speed?

I was wondering...because i get a little paranoid even though it takes common sense to tell when you're driving too fast. All I have is my tach b/c my speedo's busted. uhhh, yea. Whats the mph around 2k rpms and 3k rpms in 5th?

This applies to my 3rd gen so it may differ somewhat from your car.

      2K rpm in 5th gear = 45 MPH

      3K rpm in 5th gear = 68 MPH

3k rpms is between 55-60 mph. i know this ebcause i have all the rpm-mph relationships memorized because i do not have a speedo. when i replaced the first one i broke i went out and made a mental note of the rpms that equal all of the mahor speed limits.

              examples :
              1st gear @ 4000rpm = 15mph
              2nd gear @ 2000rpm = 25mph
              4th gear @ 3700rpm = 40mph
              5th gear @ 3200rpm = 65mph
              5th gear @ 3500rpm = 70mph
              5th gear @ 3900rpm = 77mph
              5th gear @ 4100rpm = 80mph
5th gear @ 7200rpm = youll just call bs so forget it!

Mine'll hit about 120 in fourth... then fall on its face in 5th

I replaced the speedo cable in my Pro a couple days after I bought it... Rader Mazda (stealership) wanted $65 for it... I got it from the local junkyard for $20 and hooked it up in the parking lot For those that don't know... you can connect/disconnect the speedo cable from the gauge cluster without removing the gauge cluster, just reach your hand (or girlfriends if you have big hands) up behind the dash and yank it off.

yeah it depends on the Tranny the F and the G are at different RPM's at 70. I have the same speeds as Protoss with a busted clutch or a good clutch.

Tai didn't say which tranny he has.
