    Wrecked

I have a 1990 protege se 1.8 DOHC and had many plans...............
Wrecked it 2 days ago- totaled. Front bumper was laying in the middle of the road, the whole front end shifted 2 feet to the right. It sucks, but let me know of any 323 hatchbacks DOHC that are for sale. I am willing to drive 1 or 2 states away, thats about all tho. I live in Peoria, Illinois. Anybody?>???

Same thing happened to me. I got sideswiped by a Rav4 at about 80km/h...luckily she only clipped the front end of my car and didn't T-bone me.

can you take pictures of your damaged car? and last time i checked the 1.8L dohc 323 was very rare.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

bro! get your self a sohc 323 5-speed. Then take the motor and tranny out of your protege lx and drop that in the 323.
You will love it. It's also a easy swap .

I would do an engine swap, but my engine is totaled. The whole front end of my car shifted about 2 feet to the right (if sitting in the car). My 200$$ prm cold air intake?? Well, I had to kick the aluminum tube to wedge it loose. The actual filter (the expensive part) is now a permanent member of my car. That sucks, guys. It really sucks. I'm going out today and trying to get a loan, $4000 maybe. Then I will buy another car and probably get most of the performance parts out of the way with the cash.

I dunno, I know they are "forbidden" in these forums but I was thinking (don't hit me) about a civic hatchback. I would love to have a 323 hatch dohc, but I don't see that happening. Maybe even an escort gt?? Hell a pro lx dohc would be nice again too. You can also do a lot witha ford festiva. Did you know that festiva motorsports has rims for ford aspire, but they will fit our cars? 15 and 16 inch for sure. As little as 65 bucks a pop. Well guys, let me know if anything comes up on a 323 (or anything I might like). Thanks, all.

Yeah I just bought me an accord not to long ago its not a bad car at all, has the F22 in it (slow as balls) am thinkin about putting in an h22a and keeping it auto as the JDM h22a ATX's come with an LSD...I have always wanted a CRX I think they are nice and with a decent paint job and being slammed I think they look PIMP. A CRX we painted not too long ago just got done doing a B20 swap into it, its pretty quick now (but will be teh fastar after its boosted here soon). Beat a 5.0 mustang w/ a few bolt ons and keep up with an STI here in town they did a three-wide race out on the outskirts of town.

Get a car that is kinda beat up or has a few minor mechanical problems but is in otherwise good condition, that way its cheap. Then get whatever else you want and slap a paint job on that BIAAATCH

oh heres a pic of my accorn, i got it for $1800. The body kit was a little damaged, needs paint, and the ECU light was on and was using gas pretty bad. After an EGR valve change and cleaning of the EGR galleys in the head it runs fine. Don't have any problems with the car except the people that had it before me heated up the springs to lower it. They also have a ****ed up off-set on the wheels so just about anytime i go over a bump the tires rub on the fenders a bit. Oh yeah and I can't have a car full of people or the car rubs dirty so coilovers here i come!

Well, being that I have a CRX and a Protege... i'd say that they're both great cars! The Protege is comfy and quick enough to get out of it's own way I love having four doors, power windows/locks/steering/etc... But the CRX is cool because it weighs even less then a Protege and handles like a go-cart. Motorswaps are super easy (lego style) and even though I only have a B18A1 (twin cam 1.8) in my 'rex it's easily running mid/low 14's with no more power than my stock Protege :D

oh forgot to actually post the pic...here it is...

My vote goes to the CRX, the mugen bodykit (I think thats what it is) is very subtle and looks clean IMO. Not only that CRX can be had for pretty cheap. Don't get an SI if you plan to do a motor swap they're like 300 lbs heavier with the sunroof and power acc. well from what I hear anyways. Maybe you can verify this ls.

But yeah I would like a two seater, I'm thinkin about picking up a geo storm, yeah go ahead and laugh even though alot of people laugh at us for modding the pros. My brother has one and there is potential w/ the isuzu impulse rs motor (1.8 turbo all-wheel drive). Not only that the look has kinda grown on me. It's not a 2 seater, but the back is so damn small that it might as well be no one over ten years old can sit back there anyways. I'd just rip out the back seats and put a pimp ass speaker eclosure back there right behind the front seats. But mod for mod the Storm GSI keeps up with the pro, well is a little slower than, but I never thought that it would do that good. We jsut got done throwing a Centerforce clutch kit in it and its pretty bad ass, only we somhow blew 4th gear and reverse.
Any opinions on how that happened? he had a 1.6 SOHC in it, blew a rod, so we threw a 1.6 DOHC GSI motor and tranny in it. Found out the 1.6 SOHC tranny has a better gear ratio so bought the centerforce kit and threw the SOHC tranny onto the DOHC. The tranny was just fine before he threw a rod in the SOHC motor.
The storms look pretty good slammed too. before we dropped it i thought it was god-awfully ugly, but now I think it looks pretty pimp. Even though my little brother is a ricer big time, and does alot of stupid useless **** to his car, it would look good if he could save up the money to buy the paint so I could paint it for him.

Sorry about the very long post....
