I was thinking of installing a remote start in my 1st gen....was wondering if any relays required and wanted to know how the connections would be in that??
i didn't need any relays with my alarm for the remote starting part of it. i don't think you'd need one for your car, but if you do, get them from www.partsexpress.com they have the relays and the sockets for the to make a nice clean install.
you needed relays, but they were most likely built into the units main brain, an RS system (depending on the car) can use up to like 6-8 relays just for the RS function.
Some RS units have a satellite relay pack that is connected to the mainbrain, this helps reduce the size of the main unit, but gives you 2 parts tho. While other units have all the relays built into them, but the unit it self is double the size.
