    looking for info

Every time I'm driving my car , just knowing that I can beat only GEO Metro , simply killing me. Misfortunatelly I don't have too much time to do lot's of work on it right now, on top of that I'll need to save money and find a plase where I could work. ( that sucks to be an immigrant ) Anyway, I'm trying to read something about it on forums and I figured that I don't clearly understand what people are talking about. SO if you know any sources about turbo's , tuning engines and all that stuff, please let me know. At least I can learn some theory for now.
    thanks

To learn about turbos, one of the best books I know of is: Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. Also look at: Auto Math Handbook by John Lawlor. This book is not just about math but also contains some elementary theory. Both books are relatively inexpensive since they are paperbacks. You can find them online at places like Amazon.

If you are looking for a more comprehensive book covering all aspects of automotive design, consider: Automotive Handbook, 5th edition, by Robert Bosch. Available in paperback from Amazon for US $44.95.

Also, the website, 'How things Work', provides a good deal of basic information.
