    adjustable springs

ok i bought some tom motorsport adjustable springs and when i put them on i noticed that they did not sit flat aginst the strut becouse the spring perch was not flat so they clunck and make alot of noise. anyone know what to do or have a pic of some like this installed on there protege? Would they mount better and be quiet on some tokicos? pics would be really nice...but any help would be nice!

tokico's have the same perch as stock.

solution: get better coilovers. tom's are crap.

it doesnt really matter what coils they are becouse you still have a flat bottomed coil and a uneven spring perch...

Doesn't the coil sit on the coilover sleave, which should be mounted firmly to the base. If you look in the How To or the Tech Section..(1 of them, I forgot which one) you will see a link that I posted about installing coilovers so that the pearch doesn't make any noise.

Also when you installed the front coilovers, Are they the ones making noise?, did you put the upper spring perch back in under the upper strut mount so that when you turn you don't hear any clunking noise?

you need pictures of your set up, so we can see what is wrong.
