Passing emission tesing with standalone/piggyback ECU/PCM

How do people with standalone (eg: Haltech) / piggyback (eg: eManage) ECU/PCM take care of emission testing?

Here in Houston, they hook up all OBDII cars to the testing station via the diagnosis port during the test. I'm planning to get a piggyback unit this summer (probably eManage unless you folks have other suggestions ) if I can get through the mandatory yearly testing with the unit installed in the car.

    Plz chime in folks....

      wow for real.

I don't know about the Haltech, because it replaces everything, But I would figure with the piggyback it may not be a problem. You would just have to have the piggy tuned properly.

Like i've told people before theres no way you can pass SMOG with a HALTECH or even a piggyback if you are doing an OBD2 test. Sorry man. Only way to do it is to do a tail pipe sniff and having your car tuned perfectly.

What you can do is try to register your car in a none SMOG county.
