    another ebay cai question

    Hmmmm.... I'm a little stuck. I just received this intake ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2477264964
and of course it didn't come with instructions. I am quite close to getting it in but there does not seem to be enough couplers for my mass air flow sensor. I know it's not missing it because it only shows one straight silicone coupler in the picture in the auction. Does anyone happen to have any pics of a similar intake installed on their car? All the installed pics I found so far were for Injen and AEM CAI's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

of the 2 intakes you could have bought you bought the ****ty one. the piping is smaller than stock, it doesnt come with enough couplers, and the elbow is too long and will rub on your brake master cylinder.

    throw it in the trash.

Damn... Now they have a nicer looking system on ebay for a couple of bucks cheaper. Murphys law. Well, has anybody made the intake that I got work, or is it just something to hang on a wall?

something to hang onto the wall.

from getting a new elbow, new coupler, better filter, a fitting hose (the one they supplied is too big, will require either a new one or a hose clamp) combined with being smaller than stock piping the thing really is trash. i dont see how one could possibly think of installing it.

Well I got mine to work, but I did have to go out and buy a couple more pieces to get it to work. But, now I understand why people can spend 200-300 dollars on a good one. I LOVE the sound, and I love the power, but I have this dreaded feeling that I had to "rig" it up to get it to work. By the way, the liveonspeed CAI does look to be considerably better quality than the Revzo Racing kit that I got.
