    Why wont 94 trunk fit??

I got a 91 LX, and I picked up a new trunk from a 94 DX. Its like 2 inches to long. Did mazda make the 94's longer?? I always thought it would fit.

You have to line it up just right, Id try again. There should be no difference in a 91 vs. 94 trunk lid.

maybe the runk is warped or something....i bought a warped hood before, and it never aligned up rght, unless i loosened up the bolts a little, it was weird.

ok fold your back seats down.... lower the supports for the trunk to the closed position. line the trunk up with it closed. then slinde into the trunk via the back seats and bolt it up that way.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

ha, i got it. I had to unbolt the little thingy that the latch catches on, and move it up a bit so it would latch. Now I need to swap my 91 taillights back on. I hate that bubbly looking light. My old trunk was dented up, and I found a 94 for 6 dollars, thats why I grabbed it.

only thing i can think of is the rear garnish would hit, buit actually it shoudnt matter cause each rear garnish is the same length. Did you line up the trunk again? Fit?
