i dont think anyone has tried that. i bet you could track down a 3rd gen seat for pretty cheap and try it.

The 3rd gen seat rails attatch sideways to the center tunnel beneath the center console. Are the 1st gens like this?

Did you guys think about airbag??? I have both, 1st gen and 3rd gen but i have airbags in 3rd gen seats so i don want to mess with that.

i don;'t think they have air bags

Dont know about yours, but mine seats have side airbags.
