LX front brakes on my 323...

I know, I know its been answered b4 but the thing is i found out 2 answers that made me confused. First they said to just change the steering knuckle now i have to change the tie rod?

I have an $87 rear disc Lx conversion waiting for almost 2 years in my garage. I want to swap my drums to disc when i get my front LX convesion so i'll just have to bleed the system once.

So, wut is it really? Wut else do i need to dump my 323 front brakes to LX front brakes? I know i need to replace the ....

    1) steering knuckle
    2) Caliper
    3) disc/rotor

This is wut i know for sure that needs to be replaced. Wutelse is out there?
How about the tie rod? will the stock 323 tie rod fit on the LX knuckles?
Will the brake lines for the 323 fit the LX?

Here's the most important Question. WILL THE 323 AXLE FIT ON THE LX BRAKES CONVERSION?

***If anyone did the swap already please help me out. I need to replace my brakes soon and w/ the bp swap and me driving it 323 brakes aint gonna hold it.

    Thank you much!

All what you have to do is replace the knuckle with the LX Knuckle. Then u need the caliper bracket that says "14 22V" on it from the LX or an Escort with 14inch wheels.
I would try your caliper, as i bolted a DX caliper on my car and it works perfectly, just the bracket that seems to be diffrent. you will need to get the LX brake pads and rotor tho.

also the 323/Protege DX/LX all have the same hub size for the axles, the only diff between the LX and the DX is the inner joint where the axle goes into the transaxle is a diff size.

    hope this helps.

DUde, please do not forget the difference is not something EXTRA ordinary, but do have in my because I know how you are about weight to power ratio that its goin to make the front heavier.... WHY? CAuse;;;; Heavier calipers, bigger rotors, so obviously is heavier...

On minw I just switched the caliper only, but its never da same, swappin the calipers w/ rotors of the LX or Mercury Tracer is a much better choice.

The rear rotor swap, I just cant wait to drive back home with your rims, jajaja Just jokin; I still have the brake lines from the drum system as spare...

I will< and I will do pass by San Joseph town to give a hand to my buddy the 1ofdfew323 on the rear rotors. But this is not the subject at this moment.

      PeACE BRO...!

          >>>this wont have a drastic change on the power of the car + its better to stop on time than being fast and beating the other guy and my car ending up on the cliff.

          >>> On this, I think you can just use your stock 323/dx caliper and use the LX pads. I think it'll fit.

Its hahaha.... and I will need the new brake line for the lx brake lines. I might get it this weekend.

          >>> It's San Jose no Joseph and thanks that'll be cool but I'm pretty sure i can manage. Not unless u want to make a bet ? If u fix it with wut i have u can have w/ no customization u can have my rims (miata) but if u can't i'll keep your rims (LS integra mesh). How about that?
