    quick timing belt question

i'm going to replace the timing belt soon (since the car is at 80,000 miles) and i've heard that it is also good to replace the water pump as well. does anyone know if this is true? also, does anyone know a good place online to purchase the parts from, aside from mazdaformance?

the waterpump is not directly effected by the timing belt. it is just easy to replace the waterpump while doing a timing belt job because it is "right there".
you should also replace the idler pulley and tensioner for the cam belt.
some people go as far as to replace the 2 cam seals under the cam pulleys but i think this is escessive.

its really youre call on what to replace and what to not.
find it, **** it, forget it
