    Fuel Pump Replacement

I went to two local shops in order to get my fuel pump replaced. They tried to chrage me $340+ for the fuel pump alone without labor. I searched autozone and advance and they offer a fuel pump for $125.

The choices are from Autozone & advance:
Master (Lifetime warranty when buy strainer & filter $40 extra)
    Beck/Arnley
    Carter

    I am choosing Master.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't order the fuel pump from Autozone or Advance?

nope no reason not to buy any of those, hopefully they will be a propper fit.

I did a little write up on what I did when I installed my fuel pump.
It should be in the 2nd gen eng section.

The main cause for fuel pump noise in a 2 gen is a faulty fuel pressure regulator making the pump push max pressure at all times. It will also set the MIL for system too lean P0170 .

I don't think it's the fuel pressure regulator for my current noisy fuel pump. I got that replaced less than 2 years ago. Someone just put a piece of crap fuel pump in my car a year ago that was noisy from first install.

And what's MIL??? All these acronyms

if the fuel pump is pushing max pressure at all times, why would it throw a light for system too lean..?
