found this and thought someone might be interested.

The reason why it is here is b/c I have a question. It says also for the 323.... but wouldn't that cause problems???
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

What you call 323, we europeans call 323 HB

Btw. I had no idea that the taillights on familia are different.

Yeh, "protege" is just some retarded name mazda used to market the 323 here in the states.

In other countries, familia has been used from the beginning.

My guess is that 323 sales were down (from the 85-89 years) so mazda decided to differentiate the sedan by calling it "Protege" and making it have nicer features than the entry-level 323 hatchback.

I think only the '90-'91 models have that. For the later models, it just says 'Protege'.

Yeah, the little "Mazda 323" under the Protege Logo on the trunk badge (metal) was only on the 90-91 model, the 92-94 model has a plastic badge that only had the Protege logo.

yah, maybe in the early 92 models they changed the badge or something.

Go look at your door jamb sticker...its probably a 10/91 or earlier build date.
