suspension questions!!

ok heres the story, i found a 01 protege 4dr in the junkyard today. it had tein springs and tokico rear struts and kyb front struts. i was doing alittle research and from what i understand the oem struts are mcpherson's?

so my struts are aftermarket correct? how much is this set up worth???


the big question i have is, will this strut spring combo fit on a 2 gen 93+ mx6? i was wondering since they share some of the same platforms.

mcpherson is a type of suspension setup, it's still a mcpherson setup with the tien springs, kyb's, and tokico's. You might be able to get $200 for the whole setup if it's in good shape. Check ebay and see what similar things are going for, and you'll get your answer. As far as it fitting the mx6. . . notta clue.

OEM struts are black in color; The Tokico "Blues" are blue in color if that helps any.

yeh but the struts are all blk, and have tokico on the rear and kyb on the frt??????

Who told you they had Tokico's and KYB's on them?

My bad. I guess I learn something new. I guess Tokico and KYB make the OEM struts then.

I don't think they will fit a 2nd gen MX6. The 2.0 engine may be similar, but the suspension is not.

i got the frt sway bar off it was yellow so i was thinking it was't stock right????

Who knows, stock stuff comes in all kinds of colors. Only way to find out would be to talk to someone who has the same year/trim mx6 or find another one at a junkyard or something.

i have a mx6, the struts and sway bar are off the protege,lol
