Diagnosis - Using The Oxygen (O2) Sensor (Isolating Lean/Rich Issues)

I found a rather informative and insiteful article on the net while looking for information regarding three and four-wire O2 sensor conversions. Once I replace my sensor, I'm going to use this as a guideline if I still experience problems.

    Here is the article.

Hope this helps others solve possibly frustrating issues with their engines.

(I'll archive the webpage and put it on my site. If it ever goes down, I'll have a copy of it, and I'll post the link here.)

If only I could get my old O2 sensor out, it just strips the hex part

gez dude. sounds like you'll have to take the exhaust manifold off and cut the sensor off and then tap the hole.

have you tried taking it out after running the engine for a bit? they're easier to take out when the manifold is still hot. yes, you can burn yourself, but there are protective gloves and sleeves out there you can buy to eliminate the smell of burning skin. :D

Yeah, I got it warm before hand...

I just figured it would be coming out and getting a turbo manifold in it's place anyway, oh well.
