Its a 323 Gti, so it has a BP 16v engine and 137BHP and 120ftlbs of torque as standard.

Standard engine bar a cone filter (just for the noise and because it was cheaper than new standard one)

      ZX2 struts and standard springs
MX5 steel wheels with 175/65/R14 reinforced competition tyres.
      Weichers FIA approved cage
      Corbeau Forza 2000 seats
      Luke 3" 4 point harnesses
Custom front strut brace with 5mm strut tops and 30mm square tube (still in progress)
Hella Rallye 3000FF spotlights (not yet fitted)

soon to have a 3mm steel and box section sump guard.

some roll cage pics mid instalation. Please note this is not finished as it still needs reinforcing plates welding into the floor and of course bolting in and most importantly adequate padding around the bars in the front cage.

Interior is back in and cage is fully fitted now, just needs padding and its done.

Then its time to build a sump guard and fit the spot lights. some finished piccies before I put the seats back in. ( I had to cut quite a lot of the 1/4 trim to get it to fit)

Are those the original back seats? The fabric looks like it doesn't match.

I wonder what the differences were from the North American version?

why ? they are biased the worng way for driving on the RHS LoL :D

No the rear seats are not original, someone saw fit to swap them with GTX items (they are about 40mm too short too and have to be spaced to fit. I'm not bothered as long as it has rear seats it will pass scrutineering so they stay as they are

to be picky its 137 according to the Mazda brochure

The fact it came without a Catalytic converter and a DOHC BP engine as standard probably makes all the difference over the US supplied hatch backs. The later cars were fitted with Cats and only made 129bhp
