    What all do you need done?

    SO what problems is everyone having with their pro, or what do you want to get done to it? Heres my list:

    1 New catalytic (mines buzzes HORRIBLY)
    2 tune up (my poor car is starting to stumble)
    3 new trunk (mines ****ed up)
    4 passenger side door handle, the inside one (there is a rope handle bolted in there now
    5 brakes (they are starting to squeak now)
    6 dents (2 on the passenger side)
    Eat ****.

    well, here is my list of nitpicks i've looked into in the past month:
    1: passenger front window won't go up; master switch or wiring problem*need to test it*
    2: driverside door panel falling off, need new one
    3: car needs new painted hood, fender and newly painted front bumper and door moldings.. too costly to give a BIG **** about it
    4: right rear caliper and rear brake pads need replacing (getting done friday
    5: new wiring for head unit and sub amp fuse replacement (have parts, need to get terminal.. unfinished project)
    6: dirty ****in windshield, couldn't see a ****in deer out the window further than 50 feet (smoking is the cause of that problem )
    7: intake is butchered, need to order mandrel bend, and get some fittings from home depot and some new c-clamps to help in the process
    8: that ever present feeling that your foglights will never work, i haven't used mine in more than 4 months.. still mounted on the ****in car, the fuse is just blown.. (just too damn lazy)
    9: trash consuming passengers (self explanitory)
    10: rolling sub box sliding around in my trunk.. need to mount it down some how
    11: new porting project in the works for my box, have to talk to brian and give him some measurements to move on this end


    yes, 90% of my nitpicks are EASY fixes i just am too lazy to get to, i just can't ****in get anything done right, and been too busy to get to most of it. whats everybody else nitpicking about?

        replace front 2 struts
        get an entire sterio system (just a head, some 5 1/4's and some 6X9's, and mabye a 4 channel amp)
        new heater core (KABOOM! went the last one)
        get the entire interior steam cleaned
        PAINT JOB, DEAR GOD I NEED A PAINT JOB
        and a new morot for the right rear window.

        then i gotta put on all my performance ****:
        GENIE headers from corksport
        get an exhaust made and strapped on
        front and rear struts and sways (corksport again)
        and ill just buy a cheepass intake off of ebay

          My lx:
          - CV Joints starting to click a little
          - So many dings and small patches of surface rust (but body looks straight from far enough away)
          - NEEDS a new cd player and DIN kit.
          - Needs shallower speakers in the front doors, windows won't go down all the way.
          - 6x9s in the rear deck were highly gayed up to get in there, the previous owned hacked up the rear deck to make them fit. I'd just like to get them properly mounted or something.

          My 323:
          Don't even get me started, I could go off on this thing.
          - Seat adjustment cable on both seats are non-existant. I just need some wire to run from the release lever to the other rail and I'm good, but I'm lazy
          - Seats barely lean to the center of the car. Need to get some washers or something to level the seat out.
          - The carpet sucks, I want it replaced
          - I can't fit my new component speakers in the doors because they're too deep. Can't mount them 'out', because the window crank would hit the speaker. So not only do I need power windows, but I'll also have to mount the speakers 'out'.
          - Need to cut some wood and mount amps on the back of my rear-seatback.
          - CV Joints need replaced soon enough
          - Engine leaks oil
          - Paint is in horrible shape. HORRIBLE. If I get it painted, I might as well get the bumpers and sideskirts that I want.
          - Need a BP or BPT

          I figure my 323 won't be happy until I drop about $5-$6k on it, and lately I've really been wondering if I should even bother. In the spring I'm planning on buying a motorcycle, and if that makes me happy, I might sell the 323 for cheap to get it out of my hair.

            well if i was to care sabout keeping my red car i would need to do
            -driver side axel
            - new tires
            -fix frame
            -driver side window dont go up properly



            but im looking at another pro it needs

            -body repair (rust)
            -new rear sway bar
            -new exhast
            -new engine but i got one
            No more protege, Mx-3 now...Only known BP powered Mx-3 in Nova Scotia

              ACT clutch and G tranny (when my clutch goes bad from the turbo frying it
              need rims really badly
              need some side skirts and front spoiler needs to be sprayed
              need the carbon fiber hood
              did I say I need rims?
              need rear discs from a 1st gen.. May use 2nd gen calipers.
              need brake booster from LX 1st gen
              need to vacum inside of car
              need a new radiator cap.
              need a jack for the trunk
              did I say I need rims?
              need more gauges... boost, ex.temp. ....
              need 2 lower ball joints
              need 2 install bumpstops


              323-
              needs the 5 speed swap
              needs miata pistons for the Bp for the 5 speed swap
              need wire harness from LX
              need CPU
              need 5 speed tranny
              need axles to
              need shift linkage and 3rd pedal
              need to figure why my tach in the LX cluster won't work
              need to add the 75 shot of NOS on the 323 for the B18 civic hatch..
              need to figure where the money for this **** will come from ???

                rotors, pads x 4
                struts
                lower ball joints
                front oil seal (have just never got around to changing it)
                lots of paint chips on hood
                will need new tires before too long
                I think I may have an exhaust leak from the exhaust manni to cat pipe.
                passenger side headlight
                dents in trunk lid...I kinda punched it (I need anger managment)
                tint needs replacing on the rear window
                finish my trunk project
                needs a good washing, damn its dirty.

                  - currently dont have a passenger seat (workin on getting EGT seats)
                  - Tune Up
                  - New pads and resurface rotors
                  - Alignment
                  - Oil Change to synthetic blend
                  - New mag lugs (the lugs I got dont fit the rims Iv got)
                  - finish my wiring projects
                  - Get center console finished ( putting in switches and painting)
                  - Get EGT side Skirts
                  - fill the dings and repaint

                  just the little ****
                  94' Mazda Protege'... trying to return it to former glory.

                    hey nice thread topic! I know most of us always could come up with a list.

                    Here is mine for the MX3:

                    -guage cluster clear plexi peice had armor all splattered on it from previous owner, leaving a bunch of white dots all over it, need to replace that peice
                    -dyed headliner looks like **** and needs to be taken off and reupholstered wth some black fabric
                    -dyed A & B pillars already have about 5 gouges in them in need of touchup
                    -needs a good vacuum
                    -needs a good air freshener
                    -power steering fluid low
                    -steering wheel 1 click to the left when going straight
                    -vent control dimmer lights don't work at all, need to fix the connection or replace bulbs
                    -rear trunk panel has a crack
                    -about 5 dings and a dent on the outside
                    -front bumper support is permanently damaged, needs replacing to fit bumper cover on correctly
                    -bumper cover has holes and is faded to holy hell, needs replacing
                    -paint missing on parts of the hatch near where the emblems used to be...needs to be touched up
                    -rear rotors need replacing soon
                    -prop rod under hood has no securing fastener after removal of intake...i need to jerry rig something for that.


                    Thats all i can think of right now...all of them are nitpicking for the most part, and don't affect how the car drives. The car actually drives incredibly smooth at the moment, with just these few annoyances

                      my rad sprung a leak yesterday (i think) as i don't see any leaky hoses but some coolant sitting in the top edges of the rad. So thats what i need. There's other things, but nothing to do with mechanical well being. It runs like a top!

                        new windshield wipers
                        new struts in the rear
                        wheel alignment
                        new drum brake pads
                        new clutch (ACT when I finish the gtr swap)
                        rims
                        paint job (underneath the bra, the paint is fading) maybe black
                        rig the front clip so I won't have any trouble mounting the intercooler
                        a good car wash inside and out
                        febreeze to get the smoke smell out
                        enclosure for the 12
                        '93 protege DX 5 spd.

                              yes, this one was a j/y pull from a 94 about 5 years ago. It's from an auto tranny car and the sensor plug was leaking. I just sillyconed it up real good like, uh huh. It's strange, it has a 19mm head for a wrench, but it's a pressure fit...

                              had the broken plastic top prob with the original too.....
