rusted calipers

i have a set of lx front calipers and roaters and was wondering if the rust will affect them in any way or shauld i not worry about it?

My rotors get rusty after it rains if the car sits all day, the rust goes away after I drive it. As long as the rust hasn't started eating away at the metal I think you should be fine. You should probly go ahead and try to remove the rust with some sand paper or possibly just some brake cleaner.

As long as the pistons arent damaged you should be fine.

they worked when they were on the other car but that 1 was wrecked over a year ago...is there any way i can tell if they are good by looking at them?

Im not sure about a visual inspection, but the Haynes manual describes the process for checking the operation of the calipers. You need compressed air though. I would make sure they operate properly before installing them.
