Selling my Pro? Buying a Scuby?

Well initially when I first moved to NH, I had planned on maybe getting an mp3 or a DSM.

It was really just an idea I was toying with, but now after speaking to my wife, we agreed it is probably time to start looking for a new car.

So i'm "dumping" project Protogetter and buying a GC8 whenever I find one that fits my criteria.

This forum r0x0rz tho and so do Proteges so I'm going to stick around, that way you guys can also see the future. . .

yea i almost bought one today, but the dealer wouldn't budge on the price. If things go well, I should have all the parts for a stage 3 turbo within a year of purchase. The hardest part is finding the car for the right price; they aren't exactly as common as a 1g

What does Stage III mean?

stage III means i'm doing a stage III turbo setup.

The stock 2.5 RS (which is what I'll be purchasing) outputs roughly 160hp.

After a stage III setup, I'll output somewhere around 300 hp.

No cruise and no ABS doesn't really bother me. I am not a firm believer of ABS, I managed to survive a braking from 115mph to about 30 in about 150 feet, without ABS. But I really do wish the MP3 had a sunroof. I love driving with the sun coming straight down.

Sorry, quick threadjack... I would rather not have ABS, because it feels like I have less control of the car. I learned how to drive without it, and I am much more confident pumping the brakes. If I have ABS I still pump the brakes, which means they're off too much and I actually stop slower.

And Greg, if you want a sunroof so much why don't you install one?
