    drum to disk swap

ok, me and a few other BG 323 hatch owners are intrested in the disk to drum swap off the protege LX

first what we need to know is what we need off the doner car to do the swap

I'll have more questions as they come up

The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

What is the point of switching to 4 wheels disk brakes? The initial
stopping power from 4 disc cars perform less than the rear drum ones!
On the other hand, the advantage to the disc brakes are better cooling
power (which doesn't even matter to street driven rides) and better brake modulation. Although the rear drum cars have
better stopping power, brake fade maybe a problem after hard driving

same reason why ppl put body kits on cars......
serves no real function but looks hella better.

          try doing 2 or 3 60>0 stops with your drum brakes...B R A K E F A D E

from a performance POV, drums are like the stock radio, sure it works and plays music, but it sounds like ass.

If your not a racer, then the biggest reason is so ppl can put on slotted/drilled rotors.

besides, my drums are shot now, so I'm taking this opertunity to do the upgrade.

I also don't like it when my ass end starts to slide out when I brake too far into a turn: I want more controll

and another member on the mazda 323 performance forum is also asking about, and I love changing stuff on my car, I will also upgrade to the LX's larger front disks later
